I will never vote to raise the tax rate without taking it to the people of the county to vote on. I will work to implement the “No New Revenue” tax rate by leveraging the new growth and working with the Appraisal District to ensure your property taxes stay the same or go down.

Promote Smart Growth

Protect the property rights of our farmers and residents in the rural areas while working with our cities and developers to ensure the growth is smart, healthy, and prosperous.

Zero Base Budgeting

Start from zero and build a budget based on what the county needs each year instead of budgeting a flat increase across the board, in turn, wasting our tax payer dollars.

My wife, Jennifer, and I are both lifelong residents of Grayson County. We chose to settle down and take up roots in Van Alstyne, TX in 2020. Our kids range from 4 to 12 years of age, the older two are very active in sports and extracurricular activities. We are active members of our local community and of our church in Sherman, TX. 
I was born and raised in Pottsboro, where I grew up working on the family farm, Finke Farms, and learned the values of hard work. I attended Tarleton State University where I received an Agribusiness degree. This degree has provided me with a wide range of job experiences from the oilfield industry to assembly line production and ultimately to my current position as an independent Property Claims Adjuster. Through my career path I have become skilled in construction methods and the ability to negotiate with large businesses and legal professionals to reach common ground that benefits all involved parties. For the last three years I have been serving as the President of our local Homeowner’s Association.  I manage all expenses, complete line item budgeting for future projects and expenses, and make sure contracted companies are performing agreed upon tasks. 
As your county commissioner, I will be fully dedicated to serving the people of Grayson County. I will lead our county towards the future while maintaining our conservative roots.
